Located in the central district of Chapel Quarter, adjacent to Ocean Village, this brownfield site is currently utilised for oil storage. Its strategic position, situated to the north of Southampton’s renowned ports and within the city centre, presents a unique opportunity for design. Drawing upon both cultural and contextual references, the design concept revolves around the overarching theme of “Seaport.”
The scheme comprises 397 co-living private spaces, varying in size from 18 to 15 square metres. These spaces are complemented by shared, community, and external spaces, with additional improvements to the surrounding public realm.
